Kevin found one of my Trout Lilies opened & said I have a bunch ready to bloom, which seems a little late - but we've had very nasty weather this Spring.  Yellow flowers & beautiful mottled foliage, they're native to the Eastern half of North America.

He also brought me in one of my fragrant Daffodil/Narcissus varieties (photo below) this morning & told me I have enough different kinds blooming to cut for a bouquet, so maybe tomorrow he can gather some more up, if it stops raining!  I planted quite a few varieties many years ago that I still get so much enjoyment from - mostly whites with differ colored & types of centers (corona).  I love the fragrant ones!

If anyone doesn't know about how to treat fresh-cut Daffodils & Narcissus, they can ruin an arrangement because of their sap.  Tips For Using Daffodils as Cut Flowers  ...don't let your pets chew on them - poisonous!
