Gavotte Party.
You can play any of the MANY Gavottes that the composers were to lazy to name. LOL.

and I need to work on my intonation, as always. Sorry for that last note…

@wtw -

Beautiful Lully's!

Your bowing was wonderfully expressive - had visions of gavotte dancers in the clouds. 🤗

Great choice for Spring!

Glad you joined the Party - made my Easter special!

I like that Gavorett, you played it will.

I like the sound of your staccato on that very articulate.

Thanks,

Mark

@SharonC and @stringy - I'm a little late to watching this party and realized I hadn't told you both how much I liked your playing! Hope I will be able to play as well as each of you, some day!

@wtw -

Is there any way you can put your video back up?

It was really lovely and I wanted to watch it again!

Finally got around to recording my choice for this party! Breton Gavotte, a traditional tune. After mis-posting in Thomas's thread, I've moved it here! lol

@JohnG -

I think you did a SUPER job of playing this!

This is a GREAT tune - sounds PERFECT for the Blood Moon!

String crossings are not easy on the Viola.

One of the 1st things I noticed when I got my Viola, was how awkward string-crossings felt, because the strings are too far apart (in comparison to a violin).

Enjoyed listening - glad you joined the Party!

It's funny, I was wondering why I didn't see your video here.

...I'm blaming everything on the Lunar Eclipse. (lol)

@ELCBK - Thanks! I think I'll use the blood moon/lunar eclipse as an excuse, also for posting in wrong thread!

@Mark - Thanks, Mark. Your kind words are always welcome.

I commented on this last night John for some reason my comment hasnt shown up, I said that I thought it sounded very French, and also a bit nautical, really nice playing and great to listen to.

@stringy - Thanks, I saw that in the other thread, too. After Emily pointed out that I posted it in the wrong thread, I removed it from that one and put it here. Your kind words are really appreciated! I do have some accidental double stops and some scrapes, but I'm relatively happy with how it turned out!
