The version I found is in G. Just the F sharp, easy fingering. I am not sure if it is what you have. I just look at the violin music and play it in my cello. LOLI could probably find the cello, but this works.

Mouse,

If this helps--I've attached the same versions I have above transcribed down to bass clef for cello.

Thanks. A little different than I was doing. I will see which is more doable.

@SharonC - Can

OMG!  I need to apologize!

I think I went through yesterday(?) - gave you 5 stars after I watched your performance, but I must have gotten sidetracked - just saw I didn't mention anything!

Thought you played a great Lilting Banshee!

In fact, watching yours made me feel guilty for not joining in, so thanx for getting me going. 🥰

@stringy -

I'm still trying to catch up.

So glad to see you joined in with the fiddle, too!

Oooh, maybe we should be looking at playing some Cajun fiddle tunes or some bluesy jazz fiddling for

Mardi Gras!

Only 2 WEEKS away!

Great!  I liked how you used the C string ,at least I think you used it.to get that lower part in!  wasnt expecting that and was pretty darn cool!  Thanks for posting a video!  enjoyed that.

Emily,

No need to apologize—I think we all know we’re here to support each other.

Since starting 2021, I think I’ve been living in the world of “sidetracked”.  I have my violin lesson tomorrow, & I haven’t spent the time on the piece I’m working on that I wanted to.  I think I’m going to have to tell my teacher that I played hooky & went to a fiddle party. . .

@ABitRusty -

I love the C string - taking me a long time to get it to sound like it belongs on the violin, though.

On another note... I suppose it would be considered Sacrilegious to mix in "Walls of Liscarrol" in with this tune - and I understand why for a group session.

...but still think it would sound fabulous mixed in instead of just playing it after "Lilting Banshee".

why sacrilegious?  but i dont follow you on mixing it in together...  are you saying have walls of liscarrol playing while you are also playing lilting banshee?  youll probably have to post an example for me to get what youre saying..

but if youre saying play one followed by the other ...yeah of course..maybe too close of a melody though?  going from havind the F# to having the F...but then again, we ..(I)  have a tendency to sink on the f# so whod know...right..lol.  but if both an F and F# played at same time....?

@ABitRusty -

Think I had in mind, if you consider LB and WofL to have an A and a B part, maybe while playing LB to substitute WofL B part in for LB B part in the 2nd go around, etc... switching parts, maybe even half a part - could get interesting!

I thought it was really good, great hearing it on a different instrument, would be really good if we could mix it all together playing this tune like an orchestra of Irish type thing

Thank you Stringy.

I think my speed is rather slow to be mixed in if anyone had the tech know how and equipment. Maybe with just a drawn out first not of each measure would give it some base body.
