@Mark That was terrific. I especially like the last version with the double stops(?). For some reason the last version reminded me of someone out somewhere alone and playing it, wishing they were not alone or someone listening to someone play it out in some vast open area and they cannot get home, soldiers around a campfire in cold weather - wishing to be home. Kind of hard to describe, but that is what went through my mind as soon as you got into the double stop version.

The double stop version was just so thought provoking (not exactly what I mean, but the best I can come up with). It just has that feeling of longing to be somewhere else, thinking of someone else, etc. A yearning to be with someone else, and a feeling of reverence.

I have no idea why the double stop version brought forth all of that, but it did. It sounded so free. Just lovely. It had a simplistic sound to it, but I know it was not. The places you did the double stops and did not do the double stops was perfectly balanced and thought out.

I did like the other versions, too, but the minute the double stop version started, everything changed and I was brought right into it.

@stringy I am so glad you came back and joined the party. What a light and cheerful piece. I love hearing you play. Happy Holidays, Stringy! I hope you are doing well and have many gigs because, as well as a wonderful fiddle, you have a wonderful voice.

@ELCBK @ABitRusty  @Mark  Thank you!

@ELCBKYes, I used my new 14" Fiddlerman Master Viola for the 3rd part.  Used it in the Wexford project, too, for Viola 3 & 4 parts.  I'm pretty happy with it--nice tone for a little one smile
