My teacher talked about buying a cello, he said that I will need a new one probably this year. This cello I have now is rented from the music school. I know I can’t keep it forever, but it was not the reason why my teacher started this discussion. He said it is not good enough for me in the future! It’s nice and suitable for beginners/intermediates, but not for advanced players.

I don’t need to find and buy a new cello by myself, he will help and I really appreciate it. I would never survive this task alone...

I know I will need a 7/8 sized cello. This makes things a little more difficult, because if I have understood correctly, it is not quite a standard size. Second thing is, of course, the price range. I know I will need more money than I have, so we really need to plan this carefully.

There is some violin shops in our capital city, but my teacher usually travels every other year to Germany to look at cellos for his students. Maybe there is not so good options available in my country... 🤷🏻‍♀️ So it’s possible that I won’t have a chance to try different cellos myself.

This is going to be an interesting project. 🤔
