I Am Going To Test a Rudoulf Doetsch Cello
I am going to the violin shop tomorrow and get geared pegs on my cello. Will be able to play a Rudoulf Doetsch and some others while I am there.

Tomorrow, I will be bringing my German made cello, Ada, into the violin shop I bought my violin and viola from. I am getting wood geared pegs put on her. The tuning pegs on my cello are difficult for me to turn. It is so much easier to change the strings on my geared cellos. My other two cellos came with geared tuner pegs when I bought them.

I have asked to play some of their cellos. I told them that I am not looking for a cello, I have three. I said that I have never played a cello of the quality of theirs. They said I could and will have them ready, including the Rudoulf Doetsch, my violin and viola brand. I am curious about it. They offered to let me play that cello when I brought my viola in for geared pegs so I could tune it while it was in position on my shoulder. It was too difficult. Now, I can.

I was very clear that I was not looking for one, but asked if, as long as I am there, if I could. Should be fun.

It was interesting. As much as I love the Rudoulf Doetsch violin and viola, I did not like the Rudoulf Doetsch cello. Just not the same warmth and seemed hard to play. It was just not comfortable in my left hand. It was very interesting to me.
