Are suzuki nagoya no.1, 1969 violins common? A friend gave me this violin. Actually  he just got this from the pier it was a freebee to buy a guitar. So I thought it was just some old cheap violin.

When I first got it, It's case was still the old style hard one and the rosin is shaped like a rock. Even you tighten the bow's hair it doesn't straighten but firms. And the violin sounds bright and sweet however there are some areas that I don't seem to like the tone.

Is this a good type of violin? Does anyone know how much this cost nowadays?
