After a bit of soul searching, I finally decided to cross over to the dark side.
Yeah, I'm practising on my left hand electric violin and I'm proud to say that I am making some (modest) progress.
Being strongly left-handed and also the age I'm at, I don't think I'd get very far using my lazy arm to bow. Even with a lot of practise.
Having said that, if I had a left handed kid that wanted to learn violin, I would encourage him to play right handed. I think kids are more pliable and ambidextrous.
But thanks for your input guys.
I hope to post a 3 month progress video when I get there (if I can finally get some coherent sounds out of the violin!)
