Of course I have, one of my favorites is Tartini's ''Devil's Trill Sonata''. Beautiful!!
Giuseppe Tartini Sonata G minor Devil 's Trill, Anne Sophie Mutter violin. She is a great performer, but her face is a bit sour as if she has eaten some lemons before she started playing.

You can do it Leana. Since it's a canon, it's easier and funner and makes more sense with at least two people. If you purchase a looper you can play a beautiful canon with yourself. 🙂
LMAO !! if playing with myself you mean........ that I would have to play the same 8 notes over, and over as back up- I think I will pass. LOL
other than that, a looper sounds right up my alley, but I don't have any idea what it is.
I have tried three different ways to practice it, and I have not succeeded yet (new computer)- I have been trying for about 6 months... I thought that I would have a presentable version by what was previously known as my 3 year violinaversity, but I understand my lacking in experience (and that this is not an easy piece)- but I know for sure someday.........
what is a looper ?
LOL (all about funner !)
I swear- someday I will be playing as well as my imagination

There are so many tunes to choose from but, at the minute, I would love to perfect this song.

wow ! the whole song is beautiful, but the violin part- way outside my skill set. well, so was "the star spangled banner"- but that's just me.
LOL
This was very beautiful, and right up my eventual alley- thanks for sharing.
do you practice this at all ?
I swear- someday I will be playing as well as my imagination

........I tried one out for selling at Fiddlershop that actually has built-in rhythm section and accompaniment, band..... Pure fun..... I'll try to put that on my schedule.
Oh yesss.... when / if you find the time!!!!
That would be cool...
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -
Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)

My dream tune would have to be this song. Unfortunately there isn't sheet music for this song and I do not think learning by ear would help me with this particular song.

When I was 12, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers came out. I remember hearing the theme for the Riders of Rohan for the first time and that was pretty much the moment I really wanted to learn to play. I can't believe it's been that long, but that was my dream tune. I didn't start really playing until a few years ago, but it is still one of my top tunes to learn. More recently, Jerusalem Ridge has really caught my ear. I love the way it sounds and would love to learn to play it well.

I know that my answers to this question won't be on the harder side of songs to learn but these three I'm going to list are the goals I have set for myself.
Ultimate Goal: Schindler's List Theme song:
Other two I want to learn:
Lindsey Stirling - Crystallize
Halleluah
Hallelujah (many different versions of this song out there.. I do like Lindsey Stirling's version of this one but I like others as well..) Here's hers:
You'll never know unless you try! What's in my violin case?
