Hi Emily, for fiddle tunes on viola I play them con sordino , recorded with dual studio condenser mic's, just a touch of reverb for effect.

Wow... that possibility hadn't even crossed my mind - playing with a mute is such a foreign concept to me!
Probably because I'm not sure I could even find a mute for 5-strings! Think if I used a mute on my fiddle it would just die in my arms with a whimper! 😳 Might not be as bad on my Viola, but it would take all the fun out of my secret cello fixation. 😁
Anyway, your sound was unique in the video & I really liked it for this tune... you just have my curiosity piqued!
