@Mouse -

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

I love it - just beautiful.

Pretty great to share that this evening.

Hope you have a wonderful New Year with ALL your instruments!

...or should I say with all your "girls and boys"? (lol)

Thank you. It took me a lot of take. I didn't have the sheet music, so I think I got it right. Then I decided to add a repeat of the lower strings after I figured out the upper.

Happy new year,

Thanks for playing that, sounding good!

Lazy me needs to learn that and commit it to memory this year.

So many songs so little time.

Thanks,

Mark

Well done, sounding great! Happy New Yearparty

It's easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself. Johann S.Bach

Thank you so much, @stringy, I really love this cello and the Evah Green Label strings I just put in a couple weeks ago just made it sound that much better.

I added the lower string section for a number of reasons. I have issues with wishing Happy New Year with such grief around and will be around. i wanted to be uplifting, the D and A strings, but I also wanted to acknowledge the times and those affected most, the G and D strings verse. But I did not want to end it like that. I wanted some hope for a better year, so I added a half verse back with the D and A strings, I hope it worked. I always feel a little guilty wishing anyone a Happy New Year. It feels kind of odd given the circumstances, but I acknowledge it when someone says it, like in the chatroll.

One of the other reasons was that the G and D string version sounds more cello-ish. But mainly because of what I said above, I noticed the more cello-ish sound after I tried it, liked it (the sound and the mood) and kept it.

you certainly got it right, worked excellently. know what you mean with all the woe, I get very depressed myself, have had depression for a long, long time, the dark nights and everythingthat is going on have made it worse, listening to music, and playing it are what makes life worth living, really enjoyed your cello playing, very soothing and nicely played.

Very nice playing—beautiful tone on that cello, Mouse.  Evah Greens seem like the perfect match for it.
