Minuet A minor, Z649_by Purcell, Henry

(I did an impromptu recording by my mobile phone, so the lighting was not too good. However, I hope the phone-recorded-audio is still decent).

I could not find much info about this short Minuet or why the composer, Henry Purcell, wrote it.  Perhaps someone (this forum) knows a tad more?

Nonetheless, I found the tune beautiful and somber (it being in a minor key signature); thus I believe it is suitable as a piece for Memorial Day Tribute!

About the composer:  Henry Purcell was a English composer of the middle Baroque period (Source: Britannica at  https://www.britannica.com/bio.....ry-Purcell).

The sheet music is attached. (I found it in public domain music.)

Nice job. Good to see you back on the forum. I think it has been a while. Kudos.

Oh, it was just fine with the phone recording.

Thank you for including the public domain sheet music, too. Looks like something I actually might be able to do. Thanks.
