Oh, how I wish I was better...
Never mind maneuvers, just go straight at them.

Great stuff - it sounds good! ( Just one word of advice - do not rush into naming your instrument - in the fullness of time, it will simply let you know.... j/k ! )
(Still jealous! In a nice way of course !) Enjoy your new instrument !
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

Great stuff @LyleA. Everybody wishes they were better. You know for sure you won't be held back by your fiddle though. Congratulations again on the new instrument. Keep those videos coming.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. ~Herm Albright

isn't that crazy how that works? I know i bought the Borree 750es and it sounded amazing when i got it and i swear the tone keeps getting better. The fact that the wood adapts and changes and becomes even richer is part of what inspires me to keep practicing! i can't wait to look back on the videos i have and listen to the difference as my violin opened up and me of course! someday hopefully my skills will be good enough to really make my violin sing!
