This song has been on my to-learn list for a while now and I've been picking at it now and then, and last night I had some time to try and record it (which always highlights all the problem areas for me :)). Anyhoo, it's a little too fast for my fiddle playing right now, but the singing sounds a little silly too slow, so I kept it up speed and tried to keep up on the fiddle. I also added in a little clawhammer banjo to mix it up and my dog at the very end added in some of her own harmony.

I think you nailed it.  Sounded authentic to me. Nice banjo too.

I think it was great!!

We have some lightening speed players at the jam I attend.  They often slow pieces down just so they can get all the words of the song out.
