I think this is a great beginners piece, Iam playing it slower than normal as I find slow playing a lot more difficult than fast so I am  working hard on very simple slow pieces.

This is probablythe speed you would find it played at in a pub in southern Ireland at around 11 at night when it gets a bit of a drunk sing along.

good job @stringy !  ahh yes, this is a fun audience participation song.  its always funny when that one person at a table has the clapping wrong and the local pub band stops playing and says...well its time for a class and goes over the clapping part.  lol.  thanks for the banjo in lilting.  great playing over there.  that banjo sounds awesome!

Noice job, @stringy. I was working on that months ago, when I was doing more violin. I like that tune. There were other ones I worked on, too. I love those tunes.

Hi stringy, I really like what you’ve done with this! Lovely tone and nice, clean string crossings.

Stringy,

Nice playing--you've got great tone on this tune--
