Emily,

Thanks for the great list of resources. I'm familiar with a few, but this is so much more than I knew about.

I  use the Vieuxtemps listings all the time and have used the Virtual Sheet Music a bit, but most of the others are new to me and greatly appreciated.

Thanks Emily,

If you would like to comprise a list, and we have others add to it, I could add it to the resources on the top menu of Fiddlerman.com..... 😁

I think it would be extremely helpful to have many resources listed in one place.
We could list it in genres as well to make it more clear.

That's a fantastic list.

Does anyone have anything to add to that before I post it on our site?

@Fiddlerman -

I hit pay dirt, again!  ...at least I don't think it's been listed anywhere. (lol)

Found a great archive of free tune pdf's from the "Squirrels' Nest"!  They are a Michigan group that jams with all these tunes and proceeds from their cd's goes toward a music scholarship fund!

So, here's another one worthy of the "Free Sheet Music Links" List!

Squirrels' Nest Archive

- popular Jam tunes as well as some more obscure ones!  Irish, Québécois, Old Time & other Folk music.

...guess there's never enough!

@Fiddlerman -

Okay, here's ONE more for the Video list...

This YouTube Channel of Free Video Scores, is a little different - REALLY GOOD!

How To Practice Violin, Viola and Cello

HUGE selection of play-along practice videos of exercises, etudes and pieces from 'Sevcik', 'Paganini', 'Schradieck', 'Kreutzer', 'Carl Flesch', 'Kayser', 'Suzuki', etc...  Refine your search on the site - "slow Violin", "slow Viola", or "slow Cello" - for Beginner playlists.

@Fiddlerman -

Can you add this FABULOUS Classical Music Library to the list of Free Sheet Music Sources?

Kholodenko Music Library

- 524 Classical pieces, some rare treasures in Ukraine's Largest Free Library!  Mostly Violin, but some Viola, String Quartet & Chamber Ensemble.

Here's the link to Stringy's thread, with a video telling the story of this Library's Founder and describing the War in Ukraine's effect on Violin teachers & Violinists.

https://fiddlerman.com/forum/s.....y/#p124343

Hope more musicians will donate to the Library.
