Thanks Toni. 
She's been ill since the beginning of December, but she's slowly getting better now. It was caused by osteoporosis and didn't show up the first x-ray so we didn't find out she had a break until just a couple of weeks ago when she got the result of her mri scan. It's supposed to take about 3 months to heal properly.
Funnily enough, I was practicing tonight and saw an arrangement of Let it Be in one of my karaoke books - but I see Mimi is already going for that one.
Well done those that have posted vids so far!

Ok, so this was taped last year, er, 2015 which was the last time I really played very much. I will practice and submit a more recent rendition. Thanks

Mimi will not mind at all if you do the same song - it will probably do it more justice! - might be able to pick up a few tips from you too... all the best to your wife, poor thing, thats got to be rough.

I haven't set the deadline. How about March 15th? that gives everyone about 6 weeks to practice, learn a song?

I'm having trouble settling on a tune, haha. I've been noodling with Blackbird, Ob-la-di, Yellow Submarine, and a few others. I'm thinking Yellow Submarine might end up being it, though... hmmmm....

I don't know either, but that little bow movement you did sounded really good to me when you played those quick little notes....that has to be hard, to get them just right, and you got them all...awesome!
I just got my new bow from fiddlershop, and I love it - I guess I was using a little cheapo one and the difference is pretty amazing, sounds a lot deeper, and kinda echo which I am not sure is right, but it makes the notes join together which is cool. For sure makes me feel like more of a pro when I hit the right ones.
This is becoming a lot of fun!
