It is true if you use effects such as reverb and echo to cover the deficiencies. Without those effects you may not be satisfied. However, this is true of any electric violin.cool

Gotchya. That makes sense. Thanks

In case you don't know, your test video and your rockstar video are embeded on the kkmusic product pages for the electric violins. (I find the video with Bach Preludio Sonata VI on the Zeta a bit misleading, since you aren't playing a KKMusicStore violin.)

The test videos for the 500 and 650 is also embedded on the respective violin product pages. Pretty sweet!dancinbunny

Fiddlerman,

Just pointing this out, because I find it pretty misleading. This is listed under the electric violins on kkmusicstore.com

"Click the play button to watch 1stfiddlerman Rock Cecilio Black Metallic Violin ~ Bach Preludio"

This is not their violin. If people cared to, they could look it up on their own. However, most people don't and with your review and the comment, most would assume this is their violin.

I noticed that too. I don't mind too much for two reasons, first off the distorted effects that I used would sound almost exactly the same no matter which electric violin I played on for this demo. I clearly state in the video that the effects are what makes an electric violin sound good.

Secondly, Fiddlerman.com will find more visitors through them posting additional links.

The way I see it, Cecilio sent me 7 violins in which I can give to needy violinists.
I have sincerely been impressed by the value for the money. Can't imagine how it is possible to sell these instruments so cheaply.

If they posted something that could honestly mislead someone I would react.
I look at it as them giving an example of what could be accomplished on an electric fiddle.

but the one who needs the least."

Fiddlerman,

Thanks so much for this video! I was considering one of these violins last year, and once again this year. From your review they seem like a good choice for a potential beginner like me.
