Great idea! I know that I live in an area that doesn't have much of anything for the violin...
Would you have any chinrests that sit up higher? It looks like the one that you use in your videos is pretty high. I would be interested in something like that I think. Anyway, great idea. Is there a list to get on for this?
Thanks!

FM, thank you so much for the service.
I would be interested, too. I have short neck, so lower one probably better for me.
I'm finally done with travelling this last week, but will be busy with course work for at least the next couple of months, so I will have more time to test them out in April, May, and June.
Would you have 1/4 size available, too? i don't think the one my daughter has on her ceicilio 500 fit her. I would love to have the opportunity for her to try and find one that would fit her as well.

Hi Fiddlerman and everyone else,
I would like to add my name to the list of those interested in trying 5 chinrests.
On your offer to make a different choice, would it be possible for me to try a Zitsman instead of the Berber, since I already have a Berber? Or, if you have another center-mounted, over-the-tailpiece model that I could try? I looked at bunches of them, but it is difficult to tell in a picture. I also have a Flesch without a hump, so that wouldn't be necessary. The Flesch with the hump is fine to send. Trying not to be difficult.
Thank you for all your very helpful videos!

Yeah I like the look of it because I enjoy using a small "pad" with rubber bands (kind of like yours) but it doesn't raise the violin very far up off of my shoulder - this coupled with the fact that my chin rest is almost flat against the violin's body, and I find I have to tilt my head very far over which makes my neck and right shoulder hurt after playing for about an hour... I thought maybe a more raised chin rest could help me with this problem. Sometimes I use one of those "Kun" shoulder rests with the arms that hold the sides of the violin... that makes things a little better because it helps to fix the height problem, but I'm not crazy about it as a shoulder rest.

I received my Stuber this morning and put it on as soon as I got home. It feels so much nicer than the original chinrest that came with my fiddle. I'll have a better idea if it's the right one for me after I've used it for a few days, but for now I'm very happy with it. Thanks!

Hey, FM - I've been wondering for a while... What is that chin-rest that you have? It is raised really high... looks like what I've been looking for.
MrBison, I have the Stuber. Mine isn't built up like FM's. I took a picture so you can see how high it is:
