I have a multi part question, I'll try to be as succinct as possible.

I purchased my Holstein bow about 6 months ago and I practice about 10 hours a week. And I use Kolstein Supreme rosin.

What would be an appropriate time to re-hair my bow?

How do I tell when I should re-hair?

Is there a 'type' of hair that I should request?

Where and/or who do you all recommend I send it? I have a back up bow so sending it out is not an issue.

Am I missing anything else?

Thanks guys!

Is there a lot of hair missing. When I played professionally full time/8 hours a day..... there was a period when I re-haired my bow every 2 months but that is because of all the hair that I wore off. I was known for playing hard on the fff ff f ....... passages. LOL

Do you have a local luthier? Did you buy it from us? Do you have a PVC tube to ship it in? We do re-hairs. We use the highest quality Mongolian bow hair from dictum. Cost is around $60 but we can take care of the shipping. The only problem is that we need the bow for a week because we have so much work here.

Thanks for the quick response. Well that works for me. Yes, I purchased it from Fiddlerman and I still have the PVC tube you mailed it in.

Perfect. :)
Whenever you are ready, give us a call. John can set you up and send you a table to print.
