@Fiddlerman  Could you please tell me what chinrest you are using here?

I am trying to find a higher chinrest without a lot of grip under the jaw so I can stop buying shoulder rests in hopes it is tall enough, they never are. I hold Rudy different than my new violin. So I am looking for one for Rudy (the Doetsch).

I can’t control it under my chin with my current setup. I used to be able to. There is so much space between the chinrest and my jaw that there is no “holding” it in place. I am thinking that instead of a shoulder rest with longer legs, which would make if wobbly, I would think; I have decided to look for a taller chinrest. I have the short SAS and it is too short, plus, I cannot stand it.

Thanks.

@Fiddlerman Is this the Teka Tall? Is so, how tall is the one in the photo above in my original post in this thread?

Thank you so much. If it is the Teka tall, I hope it isn’t one of the sizes that is sold out. Fingers crossed.

It's a Stuber, but a raised Stuber. One of my luthiers built it up by 1/2" for me back in the day.
