What physical features make a violin a Strad copy vs a Guarneri copy?  Are the fiddlerman model violins modeled after one or the other?

Most of the Fiddlerman and Holstein violins are made using the Guarneri pattern. Usually a Guarneri pattern violin has a tendency to produce darker sounds.

Yes Joe, I believe that it is. I can't be sure because the little workshop that makes the master makes a few Strad pattern Masters also, for those customers who request them, however, I ship back Masters that sound too bright.
Occasionally we'll have some professional violinists or fiddlers that request bright sounding violins that project well. I would say that 70% of our customers prefer darker sounding over bright sounding violins.

We shipped quit a few Masters out last week so I can't be sure of which one is yours.

Thanks for the order. 🙂
