My daughter Brooke, was just invited to play a 40 min. set at the Rainbow Room in Hollywood on May 15th.  I realize there aren't many other SoCal'rs here, but for those of you who may be interested and able; here's the link

http://www.facebook.com/events.....58/?ref=nf

and here's a link to one of her vids so you can get an idea as to whether or not it's your cup o' tea

Let me know if you plan to go; I'd love to meet you. cheers

I and a couple others here are SoCal residents. I have a few gigs that I am playing down here in South Orange County starting on the 19th of May. I'll go to the gig and would love to meet you and your daughter. She's talented. Looks like she's playing a Taylor dreadnought guitar. I have one sitting next to me right now. I usually just sneak in the back door at the Rainbow cause there are always so many tourists that clutter up the front door there.

Give me some more information Fred. I'll be there. :-)

VERY cool Scott!  I'd love to meet ya!  Lmfao; that's very funny about the "discreet entry" to the Rainbow, haaaaa!

Those are all the details; Rainbow, Tuesday May 15th 10:30pm; here's a link to her website where you can get a better idea of who she is/what she does  http://www.brookenicoletelarico.com  If you want to "Friend" her on Fb let me know so I can give her a heads up who you are.

And yeah, that's the same Taylor she plays, as well as the Electromatic Gretsch; they're both such sweet guitars.

I knew you were playing at the Doheny Jazz Fest on that next weekend; I was about to buy tix for Sat. and discovered I'm going to be in TX that whole weekend.  I was dying to go.

Ok I'll friend her on Facebook but just warn her that all my friends there are a bunch of song writers and we tend to say things that freak out the normal folk. I'll go to your daughters gig and give you some info about me so we can find each other and sit down and watch her play.   I'll be there '-)

I know Terry, wish you could join us too!  Couldn't cost you much, what, about $1400!!!

yeah Scott, PM me your info so I recognize you.  Haaaa, there's not much in life that shocks Brooke, so don't worry about that; she's a pretty sharp girl.  She just said, she'll look for your friend request.

Haaaa, bread & water [as in prison] AGAIN Terry; hmmmm, you're kinda shady, lmao!

You know if you ever get to the states, you've gotta make it to SoCal right!  Speaking of which, Kristy and I are planning a trip to Paris a year from right now [wedding anniv] and we will plan a day in London; between now and then I'll pick your brain for sites.  And maybe you're close enough that we can meet for dinner or at least a brew!

How good would that be!!!dancing
Could even meet up in Paris, don't think Deb has ever been there. I usually drive round it or fly in and straight back out of it.
London is only an hour, maybe 1.1/2 drive depending in the traffic from where I live.

Definitely a plan brewing here........

Terry, did you say brew???  Hey, I think we can make this work; it'll be a riot!  PM me with any ideas you may have,,,, there's time, haaaa.

Scott, should there be places to sit and watch the show?  Believe it or not, I haven't been to the Rainbow since 1979!  The first time I went, I came from seeing The Tubes next door [almost] at The Whiskey; the Rainbow was the first place I ever got hit on by a Trannie and the first time I'd ever seen two lipstick lesbians make out; I was 22 straight from Upstate NY, haaaaaaa!  That was a lifetime ago ,,, and now my daughter's playing theredazed.  Life is a wild journey ain't it.

Come out to SoCal; do you have family here still???  Btw, about 30 yrs ago, my uncle was the Mayor of the town you live in, haaaa.  This world is so freakin small.

There's places to sit there Fred. It's going to be a fun night.

You were born in West Covina Pierre? One of the bands that I jam with practices in Baldwin Park. It is a small world after all ;-)

It is a small world MGN. I definitely look forward to a visit to S Calif.

ftufc - I got your package and was very impressed. I take it you got my email. Also, my friend who is also a professional violinist who lives a few streets down the road has it now and is trying it out as well.

For everyone else, this is regarding a new product that Fred might or might not want to show you guys some day. :-)

Thanks FM; I just read your feedback; thank you so much for the effort you've put into reviewing my design; I'll email you back comments shortly.

I'd be tickled to share the product even though it's in trial stages now; it's a semi-custom fit, shoulder rest, hand-carved from rock maple, designed out of necessity for an ultimately stable, comfortable support.

FM, I'll put a pic of it up on a new thread so that anyone who's interested in seeing it can just go to that thread.

Hope you read this Fred. I won't make it to the Rainbow tonight. I was just hired to play with a band in Oceanside tonight and tomorrow night. Make sure you tell your daughter Brooke that I so wanted to be there because I think she is really a talented musician. We'll meet up soon.
