My intonation on my viola has become much better. I am now noticing that, although I like the warmth of my Doetsch, it sounds hollow. I wish I was not so darn sensitive to the sounds. Just like my eyes, any little change I notice.
I will be going to our semi-local violin shop to trade her in, possibly, it depends on if there is a step up in our budget limit that sounds less hollow. I would love to try a Fiddlerman viola sometime, but I am getting full trade in value for the Doetsch, plus it is semi-local.
I may get a Fiddlerman viola in a couple years because I absolutely am in love with my Concert Deluxe violin.
Loving the instrument makes it much for fun to play. I know it does not exactly make you play better, that it is the musician, but if you love the instrument and love its sound, it gives you more fun than the previous instrument, it will help you play better because you will enjoy more and play it more. I need to do a post about that.
If I do not find one within my budget that is actually less hollow and warm, I will just keep my Doetsch.
