That was one question I was wondering. I have watched some violaman videos and have found them helpful, but I am also wondering whether the channel (or website) would continue, or if it is no longer in use?

Whoaaaaa... that's weird - @Fiddlerman ! I don't visit violaman.com regularly at all - although I do play the viola I tend to stick with the fiddlerman site and just 'remap' anything I need. But in response to the above I checked it out.
And it seems something strange has happened - the recent posts no longer show up properly (the first shown is way back from 2013 - and I know there have been much newer posts made, and the Forum tab brings nothing meaningful up..... where have all the user posts gone ?
Other stuff is still there, under the menu tabs - it looks suspiciously like the only stuff that comes up are items posted by the site admin ????
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

I'm so happy you guys point this out to me. I'll fix it.
Cyber attack. The database was compromised.
Thanks and please let me know in the future as soon as anyone sees a problem. I am very guilty of not visiting Violaman regularly. For some strange reason, I didn't get a notification.

It's back up again. Please feel free to visit as often as you want. 
Violists are encouraged to join the forum too. Not much discussion going on there but most sites start out slowly and build up right???? The other issue is that there are so few people dedicating their lives to the viola and most violists would rather discuss the viola here instead.
I still want to keep it active though.

Agreed, well, from my own perspective - the instruments are SO closely related - almost anything said relating to violin applies to viola - all the 'physical' things - about strings, sound posts, bridges etc etc etc - even playing and fingering techniques to a large extent.
Agree on keeping it active though for folks that are complete newcomers - where the viola may be their "first instrument" - there's lots of good stuff there targeted directly at viola and saves possible confusion....

I bumped into Violaman.com a month or two ago, while researching violas. I had thought I would have a viola by now, but that keeps getting pushed forward in time.
I am now thinking that maybe by about May, I will finally be able to budget in that viola. At that time, when I finally do have a viola, I will probably join the Violaman.com forum too.
I had wanted to get Fiddlerman violin bow, rosin, and strings in the next budget period, but that too was pushed into the future by a month or two. Those things are still on course to be purchase before the viola though.
Sometimes priorities get shifted, whether I wanted them shifted, or not.
Oh well.

I registered for violaman.com forums, and the email for confirmation didn't arrive yet. When I registered for fiddlerman.com forums, it arrived rather quickly. Is there an issue?

There is always a time when I have wanted to change one of my violins out to be a viola... it still temps me. But at that point I usually say no.... I do sometimes keep my second violin tuned in Dead mans tuning. I love that sound.
That being said, I'd like everyone viola or cello or strings to hang out here and riff ideas and music off each other. I get excited to see the Viola's and Cellos in our projects.
