3/4 Frank  Tretter violin (22 inches over all). I have accidentally (?) acquired this violin and have absolutely no use for it, nor do I know anyone that needs or wants one. Therefore I am offering it up to anyone that will give it a good home. I'll send it to you along with the receipt for the shipping (Fed Ex) and you can send me the cost of shipping by return mail or Pay-Pal.

The Good: It is in excellent condition. There are no marks, scratches or blemishes on it that I have found. It is complete. There are no missing pieces. Well, it will need strings.

The Bad: There is no bow with it. The only bowlike object that I do have that I could send with it is a full-size (?) bow shaped, probably wooden object from China that only barely fits into the case. Speaking of the case, the zipper closure on it is broken and only a Velcro tab holds the case closed.

So, the next time a 10 year old girl hears you play and decides that she is going to be the next Midori (The violinist, not the alcoholic drink), just hand her this fiddle and wish her luck.

P.M.  me or E-mail me at [email protected] if you are interested.

                         Ciao

Jimintexas,

That's a very kind offer, I hope someone takes you up on that and becomes a life long addict i mean player of the fiddle.

Thank you for the kind offer @JiminTexas , but I have no need.  I have already lined up my intended subjects for the hole in heart procedure.

A word of caution regarding purchasing violins on line.  Never assume that you can tell a violin size from a photo.  Never assume that the seller has a clue of their violin size, even if they state a size.  Always request a photo of the violin and an adjacent rule for reference.

22 inches is a half size and 23 would be a 3/4 size violin.

You may want to double check but I believe you have a 1/2 size violin to donate. LOL

That being said, if no one grabs it, we can send you a shipping label and donate it to Haiti or Cuba on one of our next donations. We have a shipment going to Haiti soon. We can add one of our FM Carbon fiber 1/2 size bows along with it.

I was corresponding with someone else about this, but he has already told me that if another request came in, to donate it to that cause. So, you will be the lucky (?) recipient.

I did measure it and it is 22 inches overall, but the label is marked by hand as 3/4. So, I dunno. Please send the shipping label to my E-mail address.

p.s. Don't make these arithmetic problems at the end so hard. 🤔

They are always overly excited and thankful when they receive the instruments, and accessories. We love being a part of that.

Thanks Jim

I will keep this in mind, the donation of violins to Haiti or Cuba, when I may need to thin down on my growing collection, but shrinking room to keep them.

I have not received an E-mail from you at either of my addresses. Please resend it or the address that I should send the violin to.

I just sent you an email personally from my own account. Please let me know if you have not received it. Christina sent two emails, one to the address attached to your profile and the other to the address you wrote on this thread.

Maybe they went to the Junk folder for some reason.
