Our family has had a violin that has been passed down for many generations and somewhere along the way, the story behind it was lost. I was hoping some experienced violinists/collectors might know some information about it. Here is what is on the faded sticker on the inside:
Johann Martin Hofmann
Hochfürstl: Hof- Laut-
und Geigenmacher in
Schillingsfürst 1805
Any information on this violin would be greatly appreciated! I have been looking online and have had a hard time finding anything, and what I have found is in German.
Thanks everyone!
