I appreciate the encouragement Mr Fiddlerman- but the click track is way too fast for me- I have been practicing every day, and maybe something will come of it- I keep seeing progress, but…………..
I understand about using the click track, and recording- none of that is an issue for me- cept that my internal mic died on computer- using an external one, but not so sure of the sound quality as of yet. That is a smaller problem than the tempo of the click track LOL
I will keep trying till the very last second ! (I promise)
I swear- someday I will be playing as well as my imagination

Thanks for the videos Pierre - very helpful. I still can't click my fingers and get back to the fingerboard in the right place in time though so I'll have to use an alternative.
My wife has volunteered to click her fingers on the video, but doesn't want any other part showing. lol
I need a bit more practice before I get the video cam out.

I'm getting these parts down OK including the snaps.
But, I'm having trouble with my hands getting too dry and this makes it hard to keep my snapping fingers going.
Since this is something that is bound to find its way into sound studios, I'm thinking there must be a trick to keeping your fingers moist for good snapping.
Does anyone have any tricks or solutions for keeping your hands moist for good snapping sound from the fingers? I've tried a hand moisturizer, but that's too slippery and so the fingers quit snapping with the kind I tried.

PopFiddle, there are hand lotions that work great but I'm not sure which to recommend. You need to be careful not to get greasy hands too.

I think I figured out what my problem was. I wash my hands before playing and sometimes for the second or third time in an afternoon (for good cause). Washing your hands with soap tends to leave them dry. Now when I wash my hands shortly before playing, I just use water, not soap.
I like to leave my submissions to the last day so that I can have as much practice as possible. I'm in California and we have a time zone difference. Would you like a day earlier to make your schedule? I'm sure an afternoon of practice won't make that much difference.
You might consider the time zone difference in your next project schedule.
