Looks interesting. Thanks Fiddlerman!

Hah, I've injured my left hand while playing the viola parts.... ROFL !!!!
It's OK, it's really minor and was just the result of an earlier injury.... Strapped it up, and ready to roll again ! LOL

Likewise, really nice arrangement @Fiddlerman!
But I have to say, the "1" part is driving me crazy !!! ( so no change there, then! ). Working on Vla 1 (well Vln 1 has the same issue for me) - and - the problem is ALL MINE. And it has to do with bow direction changes, not the playing of the notes or the timing or anything else.
I KNOW what it comes down to and that is, this is a tune I have played quite a lot before, but, the version I play is very slightly different (well, naturally). Because of that, its bowing-rhythm is somehow stuck in my head, and for the life of me, I cannot (well, I succeed about once in 10 attempts) synchronize my bowing to that indicated - and it's just over a couple of bars where the melody line arrangement is different in Pierre's score - and then I'm back on track!
I know, I know, it really is not important at all in the greater scheme of things, I can equally well emphasise on the up-bow instead of the down-bow at the start of the two bars that throw me, and, no, it really does not matter a jot - but - I simply want to break that curse of "this is the way *I* play it" ROFL !!! It's sort of like "once invented, you cannot un-invent something", but that should not apply to "learning" LOL - I mean to say, I often have to "un-learn" things when I discover my original thinking, or understanding, was incorrect !!!!
Played through the other viola parts, and, well, because they are not the lead-line/melody - no problem !!!
Gives myself a good talking to - "Come on Bill, get a grip on this, it's not that difficult !!!"

Hmmm, one of yesterday's attempts on Vla 1 -
Hahahahaha, I notice I named it "SOAD.mp3" ( you "Started On A Down-bow", dude ) - nothing to do with the similarly named group "System of a Down" - lol - I won't link anything, I'll just mention "Toxicity" - if you're not into early 2000's metal/rock, don't bother searching!

ROFL...I think I heard the bow hitting the table after a frustated toss..id regognize that anywhere.

@ABitRusty !
For fun,and to share the steps I use for projects like these - and partly because I was checking my own software here I thought I'd share this. I know there are plenty folks who just rely on mobile devices, which may not have such a rich development suite of software - but this is done on a Windows laptop.
What I usually do is to make one long-ish take with half a dozen or so play-throughs of the same part - which is recorded as an .mp4. I take that into my video editor, and split-out the audio. I take the audio into Audacity where, the ONLY postprocessing I do is a noise reduction (or possibly, just possibly a gain correction - but that's rare) and save the multiple-takes-track as a .wav.
I go back to the video editor, and import that noise-reduced .wav file, and ENSURE both it and the original audio (which is still there) absolutely line up - some time back I had a real issue where for some reason, an Audacity exported .wav file was a different overall length than the original (shorter - but surprisingly - in pitch - and it eventually came down to some other software I had been running as it finally turned out !!!) - but it has always bothered me since then, so I do that, just in case.
So from there, in the video editor, IF I'm wanting to submit a combined Audio/Video submission, I'll mute the original audio, leaving the Audacity noise-reduced audio in place, and selectively edit out all the takes that are not wanted. THAT will then become my combined A/V submission.
But, things change if I already have a finalized a/v submission, and I'm now just adding a further audio-only take for a different voice/part. This time, there's no need to go back to the video editor, it can be all done from Audacity. ***BUT*** once again - because of the strange issue I had in the past, I'm now totally paranoid about it - and before submitting any additional audio-only parts - I'll do the editing in Audacity, deleting the takes that are of no interest, and finally, haul in the audio of one of Pierre or Gibble's play throughs, and mix it with my part to make certain I'm not kidding myself !
Here's one I just did - I'm submitting a Vla 4 audio-only part (amongst others I guess) - and - in Audacity I mixed it with FM's Vln 1 - just to make sure !!!! I wouldn't normally bother videoing this sort of thing, but I thought I'd do it just to share the type of processes I go through to ensure everything is as correct as possible -

Fiddle in hand, phone duck taped to wall and computer on the click track....now just realized I need headphones and there is not one set in this house - I just sat here giggling that every set has probably been swiped by the kids at one time or another, ...but I guess I never use them...was thinking about just watching the fm vid and matching the bowing...might work, gonna try for fun!
Will borrow or buy some if it doesn't work, such a nice version of this tune, hubby sang along last night while I practiced a little, cute!

Help please.... using my phone, I can listen to the click track or record a video. Not both. I have found apps that allow me to listen to a track while recording another audio track, but none that record a video track. Is there an app like that available? Thanks,
Tim
welcome to the forum Tim!
check out an app called mideo on the play store and see if that works. Ive looked through settings on my phone and can't figure out how to do it either without another app or going deep into android which 1. I don't feel comfortable doing and 2. you shouldn't have to in my opinion. anyway..probably has to do with how the camera takes over the storage while recording..guessing. see if mideo solves it. I haven't installed so can't say either way.. just gave up and searched for an app and it says it will do that. interesting problem..looking forward to what you find. sorry not more help.

Welcome @thetimcannon !
I'm not gonna be much help to you directly (yup, I have an Android "smart phone", but I use it for - well - making phone calls - sorry - you'll get used to my Scottish sense of humor if you hang around the forum ! )
But just a lateral-thought - other than the obvious, apart from mobile devices, are there really no other devices in some way available to you that can stream internet media? Like a smart TV (internet/cable) for either the mp3 click track or FiddlerMan's "play-along" videos. Dunno, just thoughts... LOL - aye, that might work, but I'll bet it wouldn't have a head-phone output (j/k)....
Hope you get it resolved !!!

Thanks for all of the replies!
My goal was to simplify by using one device (yes, I understand that oxymoron).
Mideo will do what I'm asking. I start the click track with some audio app, then switch to mideo real quick and start recording, then grab my bow and try to catch up with the click track.....
Looks like it may be more simple to use 2 devices.

As Albert Einstein so aptly put it: "Make it as simple as possible, but no simpler."
The ideal click-track player is one which loops the track, and has a very simple start / stop control for playing, such as the space-bar on a PC. I use my smartphone to record video because it's better at it than the PC, and it cheerfully danglles from the music stand.
Welcome to the Forum, Tim. Have we met before? Your name is very familiar.
