Good morning Steve @Ripton - oddly enough, I was going through the sheet yesterday, and thought that some bass-end might be nice... so - here's a second score with 3 violas ( vla 1, 2, 3 ) and two cello parts ( Vc 4 ad Vc 5 )
Yes, I know, the part numbering may look strange, but I did it like that to keep a close connection with the already numbered Vln 1 thru 5
I have run the score through the synth, and mixed it with the click track, and it sounds OK to me.
Pierre @Fiddlerman - I'll send you the .musicxml and you can decide if you wish to include these additional parts on a more "formal" basis 🙂
By the way - the initial 8 bars or so of silence is just my count-in (there is a drum track which matches 100% with Pierre's click track)
Attached:
(1) .pdf for Vla 1,2,3 and Vc 4,5
(2) .mp3 audio file from synth
(3) The .musicxml file ( I had to rename the file extension to .txt to get it accepted for upload - to use it - change the .txt extension to either .xml or .musicxml depending on which naming convention your score editing software expects )
Amazing-Grace-Fiddlerman-project-violas.txt
**EDIT** Yes, I just noticed, the sub-title (on the score sheet) still says "Violin 1" - ignore that, the actual parts/voices are correctly identified!!! I was clearly in a hurry (or possibly experiencing a senior moment.....)
ALSO: I have been somewhat cavalier in my approach to showing bow direction changes, fingering, slurs and ties - in fact there are NONE !!! But you can figure it out folks ! ***
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -

@lbrookins and anyone else with .MOV issues
There is a thread, I think just below this Amazing Grace l, thread where someone asks about the .MOV issue. I use iPad. It does not convert. My sister cannot view them on her droid. I responded in that thread with what I do. Look for the response from Cid. The nutshell is below.
I have found that if I create a cloud shared album, put that video in that shared album and then save that video back again to my pad, it works. I go to my Google Drive and upload the video I downloaded from my shared album. You will see that it has the .mp4 extension in Google Drive. You can also rename the file to make sense. I would call it AmazGrc_your username so Fiddlerman know it is yours. Also, you can add a message when you fill in the info for who you are sharing it with. Put Amazing Grace, your name and the part you playing there.
Here is the link to the thread:
It may sound contradicting in parts, but it was wordy enough and I did not want to add to it with explanations. It works, though.
Upload to a cloud shared album.
Save that video back to your device.
Use that video downloaded from that shared album and upload it into Google Drive.
Edit the name
Share it with Fiddlerman's email address
Add a message with your user name, Amazing Grace and the part you are submitting.
i believe if you are doing more than one part, you have to submit them separately.
Cello and Viola Time!

Listening to the click files, am I correct that the tempo is set at 80 beats per minute?i think I might prefer to work with a metronome.
First and foremost - WELCOME @emikemcc - enjoy the forum and the project !
In response to your question, I'm not going to give an answer ! It is really not a good idea to work from anything other than the click track - it is almost the only way that consistent tempo can be achieved across many people recording separately. The issue of using a metronome is that even IF you were told the actual tempo there is absolutely no guarantee that it will absolutely match, 100%, the timing of the click track, and that would apply most specifically to mechanical metronomes - although admittedly, electronic devices would be more accurate. Even being out by a small fraction could lead to your piece "finishing slightly earlier or later" than everyone else who are using the click track over the length of a 1 or 2 minute piece. Any "error" in timing will be cumulative across the piece, seemingly "OK" at the start, and only really becoming obvious towards the end - which would inevitably lead to your submission being excluded from the final mix-down.
In summary, I'd strongly advise against it !
