Really cooled off today for us in Michigan, but the forecast says ridiculously hot again in a couple days - got me thinking of this old thread & wondered what Louise Bichan has been up to with her 'fiddlecam' (really like her Orkney music).
2024 Article at 'The Strad': Louise Bichan: a fiddler combining music with photography
I missed this crazy idea (from a year ago)... A Band on a Trampoline!
@ABitRusty -
You ever find out how she's mounting her GoPro (mentioned in the article) 'fiddlecam'?
I'm amazed at the quality of tiny video cams with magnetic mounts available now!

Dont know about ready for snow, but I am ready for summer. Here in the North of England its been one of the worst summers I can remember, seriously we always have 5 days at the end of June which are good but then it starts raining and doesnt stop for the next 11 months, that isnt an exageration by the way. Its usually warmer and drier down london way where Gordon lives, because there is a curious weather phenomena that cuts a diagonal line across the country. One o the reasons I spend a lot of time abroad is for the weather, if I ever win the lottery I am moving to spain or portugal;)
I am actually thinking of starting a travel blog on you tube, how much can you record on a go pro, my idea is turn it on film everything and edit later, with a commentary and subtitles for those hard of hearing, any ideas anyone?

it will depend on the settings @stringy. e.g. 8k 4k..etc. I would definately check out the ***EDIT** insta 360 X4 for scenery. You have to edit the video within their app though. Its a toss up to me between gopro and the other action cameras. i wont buy a dji anymore so for me its between gopro and insta and has to do with their software. i lean gopro.
edited above. i like the insta360 x4 for outside scenwry and action stuff. you can just pretty much carry it then in the app frame everything. thats a bit over simplified but in general my thought process with it. If im swriously trying to frame a particular scene then im leaning more gopro/360 acepro or my full frame canon RS camera.

I am leaning towards the go pro I think, ut not 100 per cent yet, thats good info. Not been i to the videoing world for about ten years so I am now a bit of a dinosaur, technology has improved a 1000 per cent in that time
