Actually, just posting music and a place to cuss and discuss is more than I've found elsewhere. There are repositories of information online for viola, but they're static and largely uninteresting.
When I first found Fiddlerman.com, I remember posting a few times in the shout-box, asking if there was anything like this site for violas. I kept looking, but never found anything like it, so I inflicted myself upon you all. 
The welcome was beyond my expectations, and Pierre's help and efforts to make me feel a part of the group - in spite my chosen instrument
- only cemented my decision to stay. I honestly believe my enthusiasm and good start is as a direct result of Fiddlerman.com and the information and encouragement here.
I can only hope that those who need it have access to the same nurturing environment that Fiddlerman has provided for violinists/fiddlers - and increasingly - violists.

I started violaman.com/forum now so if anyone feels like contributing. The forum is officially open. We might be celebrating 1 official year of viola forum on the 3rd of October.

Yes, but first we have to be able to create an account to post on the new site, and don't see a way to do that yet. There's a login screen, but no registration mechanism.

Good point. I didn't notice because I was logged in automatically as the admin.

I think that I have solved all the problems with the forum registration on Violaman.com
Had to install special plugins and resort to SMTP registration because of incompatible script using WP mail. Took a few hours to figure it out but in the end I ended up using the same plugins that I have here on Fiddlerman.com
If you want to make history and be one of the first to post there, by all means, go for it.
