Without congesting the thread with clips from youtube videos, we all know these great inspirations, I'd have to say the single biggest individual is David Garret. After seeing him in concert in Reno almost 3 years ago (and then again earlier this year with my fiddle partner) I was hooked!

And then finding Pierre and all this wealth of info and then to find Toni (aka CPO, coolpinkone, etc.) to play with and have as a supporting member to toss videos back and forth with... those are my idols.

@cdennyb What a nice nice thing to write.  You have helped, inspired, helped and motivated me. :)  (did I mention helped ?)  exactlyexactlyexactlyexactly

Thanks to you I am a David Garrett fan.  I am glad I opened up to his playing and he blew my mind in January.

Thanks Bud.

Natalie MacMaster. I've met her a few times and she's SUCH a sweetheart! We recently saw her show in Moncton and it was fantastic, probably better than it was when I saw her way back when at the Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival when she was in her late teens - and I thought she was pretty great then too!

Edit: I had the pleasure of seeing this set live last week: Natalie and hubby Donnell Leahy:

For guitar, Tommy Emmanuel. Ben Harper as well.

For fiddle though? This guy right here - Michael Cleveland is fantastic. I could listen to his stuff all day.
