I wonder if the front end of a bow is an available product “in the trade” so that a luthier could rather easily splice it into a damaged bow?  I have a picture of what I want, but I have not been able to find any for sale.945ADF41-B1EB-43E2-84BF-0D04BFCEA3FE.jpegImage Enlarger

It's not available as far as I know. Mainly because it's considered bad to have a spliced/split bow. If a bow breaks in the middle we throw them away unless they are rare and valuable, or a customer wants a repair.

I'll keep you in mind if I see or hear of a bow breaking in the middle during shipping or something else.
