Fiddlershop is currently looking for a 7th repair/setup/luthier technician to join our team. Send PM if you are interested.
Just as a side note. If anyone is interested.
The installed version in the photo, sounded better then the original, however I thought It might be able to sound even better.
So I filed roughly another 1/32 to 1/16 from the thickness, opened up all the holes and also rounded the part between the feet.
I must say there is a defiant improvement. The sound is more pure and much easier to get out of her now. 🙂
I was having trouble getting a good tone on the E, 4th and above, It appears to play easier now.
It is amazing what a few changes to a little piece of wood can make! Now I just need the tool to play around with the sound post. I can never leave anything alone lol.
