I shared the link with my brother and sister-in-law, and sister. My sister just emailed back and said it was excellent and that they all enjoyed it, and to thank you all.

Wow, I’m totally speechless, this is so awesome! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Thank you Fiddlerman also for explaining how this all is happening.

Next I’m going to watch this from a bigger screen than my phone, so that I can try to identify some of you. 😄

I'm happy to record another one this weekend (or even tonight), if there's music to play... and if it's an easy arrangement and a mid-week deadline, I think it could easily have 20 or more people in it.

I've seen another virtual orchestra project go from project announcement to final video in about 36 hours; the video editing side of it is much faster when there aren't 100+ audio tracks.

Well done everyone, and especially Pierre - another great job! :)

I'm virtual orchestra'd out till the New Year now - I've just submitted my violin video for the 'greenscreen' virtual orchestra recording of Pavane (I'm glad I'm not editing that one! We have a 'digital artist' doing it - can't wait to see how it turns out) and I've recorded some flute duets of Xmas music for my YouTube channel to go up next week. That's enough for me!!

Wonderful job everyone! It sounded great, and really put me in the Christmas spirit!

@Fiddlerman  I can't believe that you mixed 153 tracks - wow! Well, a couple of projects ago you were wishing for more participation....I think you got your wish! (My father used to say "be careful what you wish for - you just might get it" LOL)

Merry Christmas - Happy Hanukkah - Happy Holidays to all!  santa3

ROFL. I am really up to it.  NOT!!! 😁

I spent part of my weekend adding 6 more people who were sad that I had missed their videos. In the future I'll have a site where people upload their videos. I will also emphasize that one must receive a confirmation. I think I have always confirmed receipt.

Here is the 2nd version with 84 videos and 159 audio tracks.
Thanks to all of you for your participation and the kind words.

@Fiddlerman -

Wow, Fiddlerman!

Above and beyond "nice" - for adding in the people and tracks that were missed!

Many thanks to you Pierre for your tremendous work on putting together this massive project!  There were so many participants and parts submitted.  I think this might indicate that we, as players, are starving for something creative to do with our instruments and just to be a part of “something” during these times.  Since you had such an awesome turnout of players, would you consider making numerous group projects available during the coming year? (Please). I posted the finished product on a couple of Facebook groups and their responses were always positive.  Many were like me in the past either not knowing about the project, not finding out in enough time to prepare or other minor issues!  I recommended that they become part of the Fiddlerman community and these forums to stay informed.  Also, current forum members can promote the details online and in their groups they are part of.  I would love to see you overloaded (not really) with participants!  Merry Christmas to you and your family and your entire staff at Fiddlershop!  🎄🎩🎻🎩🎄

Thanks everyone. @arkmaverick, I think you are right. Starving for some creativity indeed. I probably should start a new one while many people are stuck at home with time on their hands.
