@maudmaud Ah. That is a neat feature. I did PM Fiddlerman this morning and asked if he could post a list of those videos he has so that those who have submitted will know if theirs went through okay.

He did that for the last project towards the end. Less than a week to go for submissions now, so I thought I would ask for a list. It may take a day or so.

@maudmaud, I am sending you an email. If you don't get one from mouse, check your junk folder. He did not receive it.

@maudmaud

He may have received it yesterday. I will contact him again later today and ask him to check. It is too early right now. I did receive the forwarded email from you and did let him know. That was later in the day, though. If I don’t hear by noon, our time, I will contact him and let you know via email. 👍

I am glad you brought this to our attention before the deadline date of Dec 7.

I’m trying to make my video(s) finally this weekend. I already have a couple of really bad versions...🙄 Can’t understand why this have been so hard... I can play the opening of Elgar’s Cello concerto (I really did it last week 😮), but can’t play a tolerable version of Let it snow...😂

@Ilona -

Stupid, isn't it, how much stress is caused when we feel we have to play something perfect!😬

My C string just went bad enough for me to really notice and no time to buy a new one (been practicing viola parts)!

I hope you saw my message that the click tracts for cello parts are numbers 2-6, not 1-5.

Much snow,yet?  We had a little.🤗

Yep, no problem with the click tracs. 👍🏻

We had some snow, but last night it was raining and temperature was something around +4˚C so it’s all gone now...

Submitted mine tonight. I played five parts: Violin 1 and Viola 1-4. My submission should include a link to a Google Drive folder containing the five videos.

@Sahana R

I took the liberty of passing the name correction on to Fiddlerman for you. Was not sure if he would be busy working in the project and miss your name correction here in the thread. I just copied and pasted your info and sent it on to him.

I just sent Pierre the Dropbox link to my Let It Snow video.  Down to the wire, but it is still Monday the 7th. 🙂

I hope he gets the link and all is well with it.

This is the first time I’ve participated in one of the group projects.  I had hoped to join in last Christmas and again in the spring for Amazing Grace, but my schedule didn’t allow for it.  If I had another week to practice Let It Snow or if the click track had been 10 beats per minute slower, I would have felt more comfortable.  But I gave it my best shot  and I’m just happy that I could finally attempt one of these.  (First time using Dropbox, as well)

It’s amazing how nerves can get rattled just trying to put together the video, and it’s hard to record a clean performance of the tune even though it’s manageable in a practice session.

Many thanks to you, Pierre, for putting this group project together!

Well, I'm ashamed to to say I only ended up with 1, barely passable (maybe not even that good), recording.

A little late, too (1hr after midnight EST) - unless other time zones count. (lol)

Even though I haven't been feeling too great this last month, I still appreciated the challenge of playing a small Viola part on my 5-string Violin.  I know the more I play on the lower strings, the better I'll get.

Thanks, Fiddlerman!

So far 71 different people have submitted parts. Some have submitted many parts. I'm super pleased with the way most of you dressed the part. :)
