I just uploaded a 4th video--only took about 8 minutes this time. Must have just been a bad day on Monday (for me or for Dropbox. . . ).

For anyone--if there's something I can do with a play-along that would be helpful to you--
Example: a specific couple of measures that you're having trouble with on your part that I can set to repeat over & over (with a pause between the repeat), with or without metronome, etc.,
Just let me know--easy for me to put stuff up on the play-along page:

Uploaded mine last night. Wouldn't go through the first time. Second time took 8 minutes, but I only got a dropbox confirmation on the page, no email.
I hope it's good enough, I didn't have much practice time.
Can't wait for the finished video.

May I ask @Katie M - did you receive an email response from the upload to dropbox, or was it just an on-screen confirmation? (Or indeed ANY type of response?)
I *think* I mine got sent, but it took over 35 minutes for what is only around a 400kByte file - which seemed an extraordinary length of time. I had no indication of "failure" - but I don't recall an actual confirmation following the (very slow) upload - althoughI may have missed it (I was getting bored watching upload "progress" LOL)....
I assume FiddlerMan will be posting a list of files received - I guess to give an opportuinty for any failed uploads to be resent? ( I hope! LOL )

Of course New2Fiddle. I just followed the instructions and it came up with a box saying submitted successfully.
Over here it would have been Saturday night about 8pm so maybe a quiet time who knows.

AND THE WINNER IS! …..
The Holstein 3 Star Pernambuco Bow!
When recording this year’s Christmas project, I decided to test the sound of three different bows:
- Fiddlershop’s Holstein 3 Star Pernambuco Bow (last year’s Black Friday splurge)
- the Hybrid carbon fiber core, pernambuco-wrapped bow
- another older bow I sometimes use
For the mellow long bows of Wexford Carol, it was no contest. I found a deeper tone from the Holstein 3 Star and my Fiddlershop Master violin. I love the Hybrid for fiddling, jamming outdoors, and festival camping. But for slower, melodic pieces, the 3 Star always wins.
@Fiddlerman , I uploaded my primary video about a week ago, Violin 1 in full festive garb, and included “USE” in the file name. This morning, I uploaded this week’s “pajama recording” of the lovely Violin 4 part - don’t worry all that shows is a Christmas wreath on the door - and I included “AUDIO” In the file name. Thank you for letting us submit our additional parts as audio only this year. Way less stress to not worry about primping and smiling.
THANK YOU, @Fiddlerman , for these wonderful Christmas projects and all of your very hard work creating them. Thank you for offering a quality selection of instruments, bows, and accessories. Thank you, especially, for my Master and Concert violins with the perfect custom setup with lower action. And Thank You to Gibbles, as well, for the excellent Wexford Carol tutorials.
Can’t wait to see the final mix! My friends and family look forward to this “digital Christmas greeting” each year, and some say they enjoy replaying it throughout the holidays.

I am seriously about to give up. I am not getting anywhere. I thought I was close. Nope. When I record, it is an audience and I am then at square 1 all over again. And I was only recording the sound! That middle section is completely forgotten and I have to all start over getting the rhythm right. My long 3 beat bows are not even. You can tell I can't do 3 slow beats with a bow.
I have been doing this over 1 1/2 hours straight. So frustrated. 😵💫🥴😬
I will give it until it is time to fix dinner.
