2 CD set already on order. I think distributor is in Long Island so should be quick if that's right.
Bit pricey for 2 CD bundle ..... $34.99 to my doorstep.
I expect to hear the violinist "of the century" so the money isn't even important. Besides, I may be the first customer. I've been buggin Karkowska.org and Abbey Roads to get off their _______ and do something. And I got a special e-mail when shipping had begun.
I played some of her mp3 clips on big audio and it was short, but magnificent.

Regulars

I have her 2 CD set and there are places where she backs off and serenades the listener a little bit. Her music is not for casual listening however and I only listen when the mood hits me and I'm not doing anything else.
What I do notice … big time …. is how the "museum music" according to Bach and company now sounds anemic. Very uninteresting. How will I ever go back ? Do I want to ?
Her technique is laser-class and I keep hearing that too.
Not music for one and all however

"Museum Music" is a term being used to sometimes make fun of the classics. And indeed, if age is a factor, some of the music of the classical era certainly qualifies for a museum.
The term really caught on with me because one day I went to the New York City library and they had a display in the lobby of an original Bach manuscript ..... a very museum worthy exhibit.
The more I listen to Anna K. the more I am unsatisfied with the classics.
