Not all great performances are of Classical music.

I've always been a Rocker at heart and it's natural to want to cover popular music, but you can't call these "Covers" - blew me away!

At Classicfm.com there is an article with 2 Amazing arrangements of Glam Rock, "I'm Still Standing" and "Killer Queen" - arranged and performed by Latvian violinist, Roberts Balanas

https://www.classicfm.com/disc.....y-student/

Btw, if you have any problems with this link - you can always just go to Classicfm.com

Killer Queen! Check out that left hand pizzicato.

@AndrewH -

Found this link in the "Miniature Violins" article you provided.

Thank you!

Fantastic player. I've followed both him and his sister Kristine (also a violinist) on Instagram for a while.

Hadn't heard Roberts Balanas before--really good.  Violin definitely can do the Rock thing.  When I saw this video, it made me think of Adam Degraff playing Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing & Guns N Roses Sweet Child of Mine

Characterize people by their actions and you will never be fooled by their words.

Roberts Balanas made some sheet music available, but I see Adam DeGraff has some tutorials!

Hmm Thinking Here Smiley

Getting interesting!  Maybe we should continue this over in the "Rock" genre?
