Does anyone have anything against me removing the MyCred points?

If not, they are gone tomorrow. :) The new badges are going to be killer.

I prefer badges over points, too.

Hi Pierre.

Go for it.  Thanks for trying to keep the site fun  and interesting.  I know you are working hard to make  it progressive and a fun place to learn. At the end of the day you can' t please everyone.

I am eager to see what happens with the badges etc.

Happy Halloween.

ncwclark - I could have both but I don't think the points are that great at motivating players whereas the badges will be. :)

Thanks to "Fiddle chick" we now have 5 badges ready.

Check out Diane's post above here to see what the badges look like:
https://fiddlerman.com/forum/g.....-1/#p63361

Obviously I have to play with the code to have them line up better but we are getting there.

Please help me organize who gets what badges. If you feel you need a badge, don't wait for me to notice, please inform me. I'll start a post beneath this one with all the badge names. quote that post, add your "username" under the category without accidentally removing anyones name. LOL

Wow, the badges look great! Very nicely designed!

My only comment would be: is there a way to display them side-by-side and/or make them just a little smaller? The forum threads are going to get really, really long as more and more members earn badges.

But, I don't mean to sound critical...I think the badges are an excellent idea and they really do look great. Just a thought.

Kudos to Pierre and @fiddlechick70 !

Holy Cow..... the badges look great, they are first class designed 1st-place.

I'm kinda glad I started this thread, never thought it would turn out like this or go so far when I asked the "Q", "What Is This Thing".

I haven't been keeping up with the forum posts lately, been working my butt off and i'm getting too old for working day and night, but the xtra monies, did get me a brand new "Craftsman" riding mower. I know, I know, there is no such thing as "Xtra" money, LOL.

There's only one badge that is missing I think and that would be a badge for a first time video post or a "StreetJelly" appearance.

It could be called, "The Red Badge "FOR" Courage" not "OF" courage and just call it a "Courage" badge.

What do ya think ?

Thanks for the "Cred" explanation, Pierre / Fiddlerman.

I have no idea if I did this correctly.   (I agree with Diane...if the badges could scroll sideways.   (Just testing out this new badge fun).  Toni

@coolpinkone : Nope, Toni, no keyboard, but I did buy another new bow today. It's slightly different than the standard bow, but I figured it would be a good instructional tool.

I am working on that. I never planned on having it this way. It's just the way the layout automatically for now. Soon I'll have a better layout. :)

Yes Toni, you guys are doing it exactly the right way. I'll wait till I have a few more people as it is much less work to add users the the list while on the backend all at once rather than one by one.

I forgot to say thank you to the artist of the badges.  They are truly beautiful.

Thank you so much for making such nice artwork for the site.

Every time I update the badges I'll remove the names from the list. If you notice that I accidentally left off your badge after you placed yourself on the list, please let me know.

Please update this list with your name and or help me accumulate a list of names as it requires a lot of time and easy to unintentionally leave users out.
