@Cyrus I know I already welcomed you, but here is my official welcome. Welcome to the forum, Cyrus! It is great to have you here.
You will find violists and cellists here, also, and some who do more than one instrument. We all very much want to share and help you with your progress, as well as read your opinions, info sharing, etc. Everyone at every level has something to offer.
Don't forget to email me if you ever want to post a video or link. It is no problem or bother. Soon you will be on your merry way with them.
I was wondering, are you self teaching or have you, or will you get an instructor? Just curious.
If you have any questions about playing your violin, we have a learning forum room for you to ask away. You will definitely get some answers. If you have questions about music, in general, there is a Music Theory forum room. No question is to simple to be asked.

Welll hi @Cyrus I think you are not only going to have a lot of fun here and meet some wonderful people but learn soooo much as well. My 11 year old has been able to hone many skills simply by watching fidderman and getting great feedback from the members. I would not leave this community for the world.

@Mouse I'm taking lessons once a week! I'm out of school so I don't get much exposure playing around other people, but that's why I'm so excited about the Christmas project! Can't wait to hear everyone!
