A little info for anyone new to learning Irish music.
About Comhaltas:
Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is the largest group involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music. We’re a non-profit cultural movement with hundreds of local branches around the world, and as you can read in our history we’ve been working for the cause of Irish music since the middle of the last century (1951 to be precise). Our efforts continue with increasing zeal as the movement launches itself into the 21st century.
Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCE) Ballyhoura YouTube site has many Traditional music Videos with sheet music.
The sheet music is stationary, not rolling - and the audio usually includes ornaments that are not included in the sheet music. I was surprised they are heard played with a moderate tempo - at normal speed settings!
A great way to try to learn some of these tunes!

Im sure weve shared this before somewhere but if not ..
these 3 books are perfect for most of the standard popular irish tunes written in a way thats easy to follow and put together in sets. So not only do you get tunes but the tunes are laid out in suggested sets. you can find them on amazon also. In the States it took about a week and a half for delivery.

this is a youtube link to the companion cd's also available so you can hear tunes played in a session setting. links are to playlists. They open in first tune of playlist so hopefully those interested can navigate from there.

@ABitRusty -
Hey, Thanks for helping to bring all this info together in one place!
Would be absolutely perfect if they'd have rolling sheet music with all those videos - think it would help many new fiddlers, in more ways.
I'll always remember the Devanney's Goat story, told by Paddy Jones.
🤣 ...never going to have to play it, now!

books arent thick and font size good..not too busy on transcription..just the base melody. alot like portland books but for irish.
depends on what you like i guess. id rather have a book or printout if sight reading. i think the pdf's for these are on their site somewhere or may be just a sample.
