Seifert Competition

Zbigniew Seifert (1946-1979) was one of the most eminent Polish jazz musicians and a man of incredible musical talent. His untimely death did not let him fully develop his musical abilities and interrupted a promising worldwide career.

Our competition is open to musicians representing different musical styles, techniques of performance and types of compositions. The institutions that co-organise this competition hope that it will help discover musical individualities as great as Seifert himself.

 

Interesting Bio, Zbigniew learned Violin early & later Sax - John Coltrane's influence.

 

This year's Seifert Competition will be in Southern Poland, August 24th thru 26th.
