I had my first lesson of 2019 today. It was wonderful! My setup has a lot to do with it. I am so comfortanle with my instrument.

Another factor, in my mind, is the two week break. I had two weeks to work on my bowing and intonation. I worked endlessly on my bowing. Jer made me little thingys for my bow that helped immensely, I now play without them, but they helped me learn the bow hold. Cannot wait for the Holstein wood viola bow I ordered to use with my violin to arrive. I do find the viola bow suits me better.  My instructor said mamy violinsts use a vila bow.

My instructor was very impressed with my bowing arm today, hope it was nor a fluke!

She is also going add the song I downloaded to the somgs and we went through her books to find good ones for me. This was an excellent lesson.

Will definitely let you know. I seem te prefer wood bows. I don’t seem to get along with the carbon ones.
