Well, one upcoming one that has me interested is A Late Quartet --

The music is mostly symbolic in that it moves along the story beats and the Beethoven piece they play is representative of the group dynamic, though I admit I'm a little bothered by the fact that the trailer practically gives away the metaphor in one blow... but then being someone who works in the movie industry, I have to say I'm used to the idea of a trailer basically giving away everything.

Especially this close the Halloween, one of my fave music movies would have to be Mephisto Waltz, from back in the 70s. I'll have to dig out the DVD and watch it. Probably Young Frankenstein as well. Err.. Frahnk-en-shteen. Whatever.
