Very nice job, Robin. I like the effect of the tiny light's on the edge of your violin. I think they are reflection's but they kinda sparkled like tiny stars.

Well done.

@Fiddlestix, Yes, it's just reflections. I actually hadn't noticed until you pointed it out. Thank you for your keen eye.hats_off

@Fiddlerman,

Thanks, glad you liked it.smile I have a PC, so I used Sony Movie Studio Platinum.

@coolpinkone,

Thank you, happy you liked it too.smile

I bought a Blue Yeti microphone a short while back, which has helped keep the violin sounding like one on a recording.

OK, finally, here's my contribution to the Fourth of July party...only four days late.embarassed

It's not your typical patriotic tune, but rather a Revolutionary War tune called The World Turned Upside Down. Tradition has it that the British troops played it when Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown. Later, the American Continental Army adopted it.

Great job Diane!

I really love the inclusion of all your instruments. I hadn't heard that song before, but I like it a lot. And very well played too! smile

@KindaScratchy: Very nice playing and editing, Diane, but I'm kinda disappointed in the fact that you haven't started playing, Trumpet, Sax or Harp.

Only kidding, girl.  Excellent work. Mr. Scratchy must be proud.

Thanks for all the nice comments, folks. Glad you liked it. It was fun to do, even though I rushed it a little. The advantage of doing multiple instrument videos is I can cover up mistakes by using the best sections of each instrument. :)

I first learned that tune as a teenager when I played the fife in a fife and drum corps.

I was playing along to a version by Barry Phillips on a CD of colonial music that I picked up at Fort Ticonderoga in New York. Mark O'Connor does a really nice version on the PBS documentary Liberty! The American Revolution soundtrack.

@suresh : That was the Scratchy Sisters...we just all wore the same clothes.

Here's mine to add to the party. This is also my first video using the Pernambuco bow that I recently purchased from our good member @Mustang.

Ahh, that's great! Nice harmony! clap
