@stringy -
I got a little excited when I saw the title of your piece, was thinking
"oh yeah, Led Zeppelin!" 🤣
Glad you surprised me with such a beautiful tune (even better)!
You sounded wonderful - really enjoyed listening!
All the info you provided was very interesting, too.
Thanks for making this Party Special!
@SharonC -
I LOVE THIS HYMN!
Really enjoyed listening to your "Be Thou My Vision"!
...your video reminds me of an antique stereoscope.
Beautifully played & double the pleasure!
Thanks for making this such a great Party!
@Mark -

ķThanks for the comments all:) excellent Mark., love your tone, sweet to hear.
Emily I love the history behind these tunes, especially some of the Irish ones. for me the older they are the better, I always think how many people have played and sung these tunes over hundreds of years and what they meant to those people, the emotions they evoked.
Bit more, bit more, snap #*÷?×?@?#?@

Thanks for joining in Katie!
I found this in my Making the Grade book one.. I thought it was fun! Although I can’t stand the program I like the theme tune …
Is this one named theme tune or a tune thats part of a theme of sorts theyre teaching in the book?
Tunes are funny..Ill find some that I know right off are favorites and whenever I sit down to play will be the ones I start with..then theres some that when Ive been shown id hate and sorta grumble and go along with... but the more I practiced the more they grew on me until becoming a favorite.
Thanks for watching abitrusty mark and Emily. Here is the actual theme tune..
It’s a really terrible soap opera in the UK really really bad. I’d rather take the bins out than watch Eastenders! However I like the theme tune ! I think it was in my bro’s keyboard book when he was learning. I think it’s fun when you can plan an instrument ( not saying I can) to suddenly break into playing something that people know .. something familiar like a theme tune not sure what it is about doing that but I like !!

Thought I'd add more of my foolin' around with A/EV to revive this Party - if you can consider Emin tunes good for Parties! 😁
The first tune, "Mominette", is supposed to be a French Schottische - or a Jig (?) if you call it "The Plane Tree". (lol) I found (after I recorded this) there's an original version composed by Maxou Heintzen.
The 2nd tune, "Absinthe" is supposed to be a waltz - was composed by Michael Ayles, but I heard it played by Crowfoot.
That said, think I sufficiently bent these tunes enough to make their rhythm unrecognizable...
