@Mark Thanks!  I agree—one of the good reasons to do these parties—a challenge to find something that fits the topic. smile

@ABitRusty Great playing & tune! Perfect setting with the green background, too.

I’ve known of a jig called Green Fields of America that was different than what you played.  I looked it up on the Session—guess the jig I heard before is also called The Maid in The Meadow.  The melody is similar to the reel you played.  Fiddle tune names confuse me—so many “also known as” and cross over titles dazed

thank you @stringy !

@SharonC thanks!  yeah tune names .. gets confusing.   not to derail with this share but at the beginning she touches on what youre talking about and you are correct about the jig.  I think alot depends on who you learn from or what book or source in naming.

@ABitRusty -

Hey, why aren't the hounds out playing on the 'green field' while you're fiddling?

GREAT tune - I like it!

You've got a great groove going, I could've listened to a few more rounds!

Hate all the confusing names, too... this sounds like a Summer Party to me. 🤗

Great video and great playing!

I like that tune, I've heard it or one similar to it before very cool.

Thanks for posting.
