Ginnyg said hummmm, I may use a different song to post here.
Inevitably there will be overlap in choosing tunes. I don't think anybody should feel too bad about doing the same piece as someone else. Especially for beginners, it's not so easy to switch to a different tune. IMO the important things are to join in and have some fun and show some of what you can do.
Great work by everybody so far. The party is going strong and is not close to ending. I can name half a dozen members who are still working on their waltzes.

Helvetika/Cindy--the ice is broken now, your very first video posted--very nice! Glad you took the plunge and did it! Hope you post more in the future. See, it's not so hard, right?
Ha - the hardest part is trying not to smash this computer when its says 'reconnect, try again".....thanks for the encouragement and kind words, everyone!
@KindaScratchy - that was absolutely beautiful! There is no scratchiness to cover up! What kind of violin do you have?
i think everyone has done such a great job, thanks for sharing and inspiring me. I'm waiting for someone to do the Waltz Quadrille now, that was my second choice and my mom's top request, as she used to dance to it way back when..

"This young wine may have a lot of tannins now, but in 5 or 10 years it is going to be spectacular, despite the fact that right now it tastes like crude oil. You know this is how it is supposed to taste at this stage of development." ~ Itzhak Perlman
